Handkerchief Production is a creative studio based in New York and Hong Kong dedicated to interdisciplinary experiments in art and design. We hatch new ideas to explore unchartered territories with observations, thoughts, actions, design solutions and state-of-the-art-technological applications. Founded by visual artist Amy Cheung and video artist Erkka Nissinen. Handkerchief Production is a melting pot of creativity, in the fields of fashion, branding, communication, art, design, multimedia & fashion.

For me, my question is about learning, natural learning and artificial learning. Is it a form of natural human quest, aninstinct to explore uncharted territories, or a social contract, an UN-natural human agreement as a form of codification soeach member of society would act obediently within law, duties or execute order that could generate bigger common good?

In Venice, for Devil’s Advocate: A Song and a Landscape (Part 1), 2007, the audience can go inside the darkness of a big refrigeration unit (with a temperature of -15C) They had a close encounter with a tall six-arm ferris wheel turning ever slowly at an almost invisibly slow speed and with a glowing glass-ball at each end imprisoning an icy, sleeping elderly person. As a viewer, you were shut inside the om of an absolute soundless fridge, almost freezing to death. For some, they complained of the feeling of danger. What if the lock broke? What were the sleepy old folks doing? Why were they here to begin with? What were they? Where are we? Will the wheels turn eternally? What if there is a power cut? Were we all in afterlife? These were some of the questions. I think audience in Venice seemed be more experiential. They appreciated the sensation of the work, and liked to involve themselves in their own creative terrain and responded imaginatively.

My project intends to use artificial stone to craft out a "human brain"(as realistic as possible)The natural stats of brain is like tofu-soft,and the Un-natural brain is from artificial stone....how contrasty.
This brain should be placed inside a glass box(suspended in the middle) There should be an leaking ceiling flooded with black ink,gradually dyeing the brain in black,meanwhile,audience can pay $1 to activate the watering host to wash the brain literally.In this case,money is ultimate cleaning agent that activates an individual blast of "brain-wash".Do you agree?Or would you like to keep ypur hands dry and clean and experience seeing this brain dyed into an incomprehensible darkness?
